Bidding Terms & Conditions of AddArt

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation as a bidder and potential buyer (“Buyer,” “you”) in auctions hosted on the AddArt platform. By placing a bid, you signify your unconditional acceptance of these Terms and enter into a direct agreement with the respective seller (“Seller”). All transactions, communications, and logistics are managed exclusively between the Buyer and Seller via WhatsApp.

  • 1) The Role of AddArt: AddArt functions solely as a platform for discovering artists and their work. We are not an auctioneer, agent, or party to any sale. All bidding, negotiation, and communication are conducted directly with the Seller through WhatsApp.
  • 2) Bidding and Purchase Obligation: A bid is a binding commitment to purchase the artwork if you are the winning bidder. The winning bidder is legally obligated to complete the transaction. All sales are final and non-refundable.
  • 3) Payment and Fees: Payment must be made directly to the Seller via the UPI QR code they provide on WhatsApp. The final price includes the winning bid amount. Buyers must clarify any additional fees, such as a buyer’s premium or taxes, directly with the Seller before bidding.
  • 4) Authenticity: Sellers are solely responsible for the authenticity of their artwork. Each piece is sold with a Certificate of Authenticity provided by the Seller, which serves as their guarantee.
  • 5) Pre-Auction Due Diligence: Buyers are encouraged to conduct thorough due diligence before bidding. You may request detailed condition reports, additional photographs, or videos directly from the Seller via WhatsApp to assess the artwork’s condition.
  • 6) Shipping and Delivery: The Buyer is solely responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs, including insurance. All logistics must be coordinated directly with the Seller upon successful completion of payment.

It is important to clarify all details, including reserve prices and potential additional fees, directly with the seller before bidding.

General Terms for Buyers

By using the AddArt platform, you acknowledge and agree that you are transacting directly with independent sellers. AddArt does not handle payments, shipping, or returns and bears no responsibility for the execution or outcome of any sale. We do not mediate disputes between Buyers and Sellers.

We strongly advise all users to maintain clear and timely communication with Sellers to ensure a satisfactory transaction. Your use of the platform constitutes your acceptance of these terms and your agreement to resolve any and all issues, claims, or disputes directly with the Seller.
